That’s what this Build-A-Thon is about—building REAL, brand-new wheelchairs for people who haven’t had the luxury of choice. Many wheelchair users in underserved communities rely on secondhand chairs that are worn out, uncomfortable, and difficult to manoeuvre. You can feel the weight of that—literally and emotionally—when you start assembling your own.

Here’s the catch: you don’t just build. You learn. Our facilitators guide you through every part—how to use tools you’ve never touched before (hello torque wrench), how to align wheels properly, and how to troubleshoot if things don’t go as planned (spoiler alert: they won’t—and that’s the fun part!).
